Involved in digital imaging since its early days – and endlessly fascinated by its possibilities - Steve Payter of Image Art has now pushed the boundaries on from traditional art paper or canvas media, and has developed a collection of stunning images printed directly onto sheets of hand-prepared and manually-finished brushed Aluminium.
The process has involved a long and experimental learning curve, but the result is a collection of statement-making limited edition images, each borrowing individual qualities from the luminous characteristic of the base Aluminium. Pure exposed brushed Aluminium borders complement the work, giving an edgy, clean, contemporary feel.
